BOOK SIGNING!
YEAH YEAH YEAH
Another book signing :) This time we are back in the good old US of A (just kidding as last one was in TX) in Yakima WA at the local Borders.
May 8th, the Saturday befor mother's day. I will be convincing them to try a unique gift LOL.
I am working on getting contact info for the Tri-cities Barnes and Nobles since there isn't a Borders there. That keeps it even anyways, since it was at Barnes and Nobles in San Antonio LOL
Stay tuned!
(PS Publish or Bust is updated more :D)

Book signing
In cas you all have forgotten. Book signing for Rebellion on Piza 7 at Barnes and Nobles Sunday, Dec 6, at 2:00. It's in San Antonio, near the Ingram Park mall off the 410 loop. Lord knows I can't give you directions but the previous post on the subject has the addy if you want it. I will be there with bells on, so to speak :)
Ugh, may have to get new jeans to wear as I've gained weight since moving here, LOL we shall see, though. This sickness streak has helped keep the weight down despite the lack of exercise recently. (With baby sick and kids sick and me sick, when was I going to go for that walk? Oh yeah, I didn't :)
Anyways, it should be fun as their is supposed to be like five authors their so it will definitely be worth your while to show up. Any family members that come can stay at my house LOL.

Muse oh muse
Hope everyone's fourth went well. Today, I went to help with set build (didn't do much) late, after being up all night with baby. Brought work home to do. Haven't written **** today. I'm very tired. Between allergies and baby, I can hardly function. But, I'm going to keep at it!! That's what counts!!!
I look forward to next book signing, and hope all of you have a chance to get my book and pass the word on before next time!!
PS quite by accident, Jhoar has become more important in Blood Traitors than planned! But then Daniel-Jirel kind of worte himself into my story, so I should be getting used to pushy characters, right?

Book Signing!
Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Family and friends who came and supported me, you have a huge gratitued of thanks. I sold fifteen books of Rebellion on Piza 7 (yeah, ways to go before we're Laurel Hamilton here), and some people didn't make it who were going to, so perhaps will get more sales next week. Borders only (see previous post, not upset at "only 20") ordered 2o for my initial signing, but that was fine. They weren't as busy as they expected, but the people who came in for my signing probably spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 so the people at borders are happy that I was there :)
They want me to do another signing, possibly before school starts, but she also mentioned teacher's appreciation week in October :) I'm thrilled. My husband and MIL were there and it's a good thing we planned it that way as my DIL, AKA babysitter for today, was called into work for sat (almost never works sat but b/c of other circs...) so I ended up bringing baby (big hit with family who drove hour plus to be there) and the boys played video games with their brother in law to be. So it worked out.
Apparently, in this area, it's not been unheard of to have book signings with zero sales, and 1-2 is pretty common so I'm pretty stoked with my 15, plus I generated interest for more, the staff included so it could lead to lots more.
My birth father showed up with my cousin from Benton City ( hour plus drive0 and he said that around midnight he'd opened it up to read a couple of pages before bed and stayed up all night reading it because he couldn't put it down!! (At least he didn't sound completely surprised LOL) MY MIL said as she read it, she kept forgot it was MY book and was engrossed in the story. Since she'd help edit early visions, this was good news! These are the kind of things an author wants to hear!!
Having family read your book and say it was good is expected and part of the support. Having family read your book and not be able to put it down is excellent and makes me feel glad that I was able to give something back for that support.
Now I need to work on the next one... Inklings is my next target...
I didn't make my numbers yesterday and I'm going to have to work to get todays numbers but I'm working on it.
http:/leonabushman.com/Welcome.html Soon I'll be posting bits out of the sequel :)

Book store, signing
It is wonderful. Seeing a book you worked so hard on in print is a good feeling. Seeing it in a book store, knowing someone has bought it and other's want to is incredible. Borders has done a wonderful job on the display for Rebellion on Piza 7 (and it is a display, larger than I expected!) and has been gracious at every turn. They are 100% supportive of the local authors, even more so than a couple of the local non-chain stores. (haven't checked with them all yet, or rather, haven't caught the right person yet)
Please go in to Borders (yakima) check it out .. and bring a friend!

My brother
I miss my brother. For those who don't know, my 24 yr old brother died from pedestrian/car accident April 25. I'm jazzed about my book signing and wenton facebbok to tell people and saw brothers name and that my sisters and brothers are missing him too. I wish he could be here. So bro, this ones for you :)
I'm here
So my internet is still working. For how long. IDK. But since it's on...
I finished flyers for my book signing. I've read my email, I'm doing my blog, skipping my daily alerts/comments stuff my marketing coach has me doing, and next, I'll try for facebook, see if it will work today.
After that it'll be off to book store with flyers and painting. Have to do minor detail work on piece that I don't want to work on. I'll just get on it now. yeah.
For those who ordered my book online and aren't going to be at my family reunion, would you like to set up a signing? Maybe at park? I'm thinking of somewhere everyone can access. I'll keep you posted.
Signing, JULY 4, 11-3 at yakima Borders

Book Signing!
THE BOOK SIGNING IS HERE, HURRAH!!!! My first book signing is at borders in Yakima, July 4th, from 11-3. Wish me luck! The event coordinator has said it will either be a busy or empty day, LOL and for the same reason - the holiday- but we can do another one later in the summer. I know we've been waiting for this for a while so I went with the earlier date (I have a signing in Idaho on the 17-18th of July. I have lots of family in Idaho) because it would have been end of July or beginning of August. Way too far away.
For those who want a copy, they only ordered 20 so get there ASAP. I have a feeling it will be slow at first then BAM! Honestly, if I can get ahold of everybody, I had more than a hundred people asking me when it'd get to borders.
Can we say yeah!!!
